In the Pride division, stars have -- or at least should have -- a mutual respect for each other, the ring, and the industry.

A match contested under Pride rules is very simple and fair;

Superstars are given 20 seconds before count-out.
Superstars are given 10 seconds to get to a knee before knock-out.
Three second ropebreak.
Choking results in DQ.
Each superstar is given three ropebreak bail-outs to submission or pinfall before ropebreaks are nullified.
Submission hold time limit to 15 seconds before a break is enforced. Breaks are limited and included in the above ruling.
The Pride Championship changes hands via pinfall, submission, DQ, knock-out or count-out.
In the result of a double knock-out, the title does not change hands; but a rematch is booked on the next available show.
