As a note, just updated that 'cause it was super out of date.

    Annnnnnd Zero Hour is up!

    Huge thanks to...

    Levi for Raquel/Rosemary
    Tim for Rhodes/Gallaway/Balor
    Myself for AJ/Paige
    Zach for Strowman/Harper
    and Stu for Becky/Naomi

And of course, everybody who RP'd and angled! Turned out to be a pretty good show, I think.

I'm not necessarily against it, per se, especially if it makes match writing easier on the staff. A good example of what's expected of a "summarized" match would be helpful, though, so people know how to go about writing them that way.

Wait Rebel is on Takedown again?

As I understand it, the roster is essentially merged at the moment, with the two shows remaining until after the next PPV to allow a smoother transition from two shows to one. So think how Raw and Smackdown were before the recent brand split. One roster, multiple shows. Then the shows will merge fully after the next PPV leaving a single show to be booked on.

Sayla and/or Tom can correct or clarify if needed, but I think that's the general overview of what's going on.

Not a fan of stifling creativity personally. I'd prefer to let people write their RPs any way they like, with or without stipulation. The best piece of writing will win, after all.

I'd also like to know how my stipulation is supposed to be kayfabe revealed just before the match. Doesn't really work given Foley's attire requirements, and thus I won't be writing my RP as such.

I think it's a realism thing. Kayfabe wise, the results aren't revealed until just before the match and, in the universe of the efed, the polling likely wouldn't end until the day of the show. Having somebody do a promo set 3 days out revealing the result of the poll before the polls have closed would look weird. In the grand scheme of things, does it matter? Not really, but for those that care about realism, it's something to keep in mind. Either way, I doubt it would be a factor in the results.

As for Foley, I don't see how it doesn't work with him. Think about it in terms of how you'd expect it to be done in real life: the polls would close and then Foley would be told the result, choose his attire to suit that, and make his entrance (which, in and of itself, is the reveal of which option won the poll). Your promo could land anywhere along that timeline, allowing you to do whatever you want in terms of whether Mick knows the result or not. That's assuming that promos with knowledge of the result would be aired in-universe after the show as extra content (see the Hardys interview before Wrestlemania for examples of this actually being done).

For other matches, there's no set time for the closing of the polls in-universe that I know of, so that could easily be spun as early morning on the day of the show allowing for promos to be set on that day with knowledge of the result or set beforehand without knowledge. Again, promos with knowledge of the result would presumably be aired as extra content after the show has aired.

From what I heard, Sam L. Jackson allowed it SPECIFICALLY on the condition that he gets to play the character in the movies. But it's like, dood, if the character's modeled after you, who else would they cast? xD But yeah, you got a point. Do you know if they already got a guy locked in for Iron Fist, or if they're still casting?

They've done this before anyways, right? Like, Nick Fury got re-imagined for a new thing and they made him look like Samuel L. Jackson for that, didn't they?

Speaking of the shows, do the shows share continuity with the movies? Because like, I know there are A LOT of movies I haven't seen, but adding shows on top of that is like, shit. You'd need a lot of time to catch up on everything, wouldn't you? xD

That kind of thing is... eh, if they change a character to be white for casting, but considering Iron Fist is already a white guy, I don't think they should change it for diversity's sake. If they want an Asian superhero, make one, don't shoehorn a pre-existing one into Asian-ness. Especially Iron Fist, that's stereotypical as fuck. xD

From what I heard of the Iron Fist thing, it might've just been something I heard from someone and my mind blew it up into a controversy, but I heard a couple people say they wanted him to be played by an Asian guy for more progressive casting. Yanno, to not make every protagonist a white guy, and whatnot.

I'm curious, do you have any opinions on Iron Fist? Because I heard they're planning to do some live action stuff with that character, and there were some rumblings of controversy about the character not being played by an Asian actor or something.

Would I be correct in assuming that the first film in a hero's series is accessible enough to get into? Like, if Doctor Strange's film is just establishing his story, then it'd be safe to expect the same for Captain America/Iron Man/Hulk/Thor/etc, right? Especially since those films came earlier.

I watched... the first couple of X-Men movies, and I think that's it. Friends gave me shit for not watching the first Avengers when it came out, and it's like, dude, I only know like, half the people! Who's Hawkeye? Who's Black Widow? I don't know these people! But I would be willing to watch a Doctor Strange movie since I did play him in MvC3. Him and X-23. She was cool too.

Is the movie accessible to non-Marvel people? Like, would I still enjoy it even if I know nothing about Doctor Strange? Because all I really know of him is what I've seen from Marvel vs Capcom 3, and that basically boils down to knowing a few of his attacks/spells. And even that info's kinda hazy, because I haven't played MvC3 in years.

I know just enough to know that Dormammu's a villian. Is the spoiler the fact that he's trying to negotiate with a villain? Because that feels like a very sequel hook-y spoiler ending to me.

Or, wait! Is the lesson that if you go digging for spoilers, you get no satisfying conclusion and you're left empty inside? Because if it is, shit, that's deep. Like a hole. Like a deep, empty hole that I can't climb out of and am stuck with only the company of my own thoughts. That, and the echoes of me lightly humming Faure's Pavane against the stinging silence.

Is that the spoiler? That in the end, you're left all alone in a cold, deep, empty hole? Because that's the takeaway I got from this. xD
